There is no question that the 10-story Tides Hotel on Ocean Drive is one of the brightest
stars in a town that shines with many phenomenal hotels. Located in the heart of glamorous
South Beach, The Tides has enjoyed full occupancy and rave reviews since it?s reopening in
the spring of 1997. With it?s 45 rooms, five-star dining and VIP treatment, the hotel was
given the prestigious 4-Diamond Award by AAA. The Tides Hotel has rightfully became the
creme de la creme of the hippest beach town in the country.
Prior to it?s debut in 1997, The Tides Hotel underwent extensive renovations
since it?s original opening in 1936. The hotel has been the tallest and most beautiful Art
Deco Style hotel to grace South Beach. The original 115 rooms were knocked down in order
to create 45 spacious and luxury filled rooms and suites. Reducing the number of guests
that the hotel can accommodate has only added to the allure and prestige of The Tides.
Fantastic Living at the Tides
The Deluxe Oceanfront rooms offer a beautiful ocean view. A telescope has been added to
each room to aid in people watching or for scanning the water for manatees and other

slippers and Aveda bath products enhance guests sense of relaxation. The full stocked
mini-bar in each room can also be customized upon request. Room service is available

Three penthouse suites are also available at The Tides. Located on the ninth floor, the
Goldeneye and Firefly Suites interconnect. Each suite has it?s own private bath and
terrace with a beautiful view. These suites offer the same amenities as
the Deluxe Oceanfront rooms. The ninth floor is perfect for two vacationing couples. The
tenth floor is home to the Terra Nova Suite. Inhabiting the entire tenth floor, this suite
offers a spectacular view of the ocean. All amenities are included. The elegant decor and
luxurious atmosphere will make guests never want to leave.
